Direct answer

Before using AI for an assignment in Armenia, check the institution’s academic-integrity policy and the instructor’s rules for that task. Permission to use a tool for one purpose does not automatically permit it for another.

Using AI for University Assignments in Armenia — what to verify

AUA’s Student Code of Ethics explicitly addresses AI use in academic evaluation and instructor authorisation. Applicants and enrolled students should read the policy together with course instructions. Brainstorming, editing, code generation, translation, and producing a submitted answer can have different consequences under the relevant rules.

Evidence to collect before deciding

Ask which tools and activities are allowed, how assistance must be disclosed, and what work must remain independently produced. Keep drafts and a record of permitted use where requested. Verify every factual claim and reference yourself. Do not upload private university, research, or clinical material to an external system without authorisation.

Example: applying the guidance

A lecturer might permit AI-assisted brainstorming but require students to develop and substantiate the final argument themselves. A student who instead submits generated text has crossed the task’s boundary even if the tool was mentioned positively in class. The written assignment instructions should guide the decision.

A mistake that can change the outcome

Do not invent citations or conceal assistance because a tool’s output sounds fluent. A plausible reference can still be nonexistent, and an undisclosed process can still breach the rules. When instructions are unclear, ask before using the tool for assessed work.

Your next-step checklist

Use this checklist to turn the decision into a small set of verifiable actions. Record the answer, its date, and the person or official page that supplied it. Resolve any missing item before relying on the plan.

  • Read policy and task instructions together.
  • Confirm permitted uses and disclosure.
  • Verify facts and references independently.
  • Protect confidential material.

Common questions

Is AI use always prohibited?

Use the institution and instructor’s actual rules; avoid a blanket assumption.

Can I trust references generated by AI?

Check that each source exists and supports the claim before citing it.
